Seismic Isolation Rack (SIR)
This month sees the launch of our latest product, the Seismic Isolation Rack (SIR). Historically the vast majority of high fidelity equipment isolation and racking solutions rely on low contact area isolators, mass loading or a combination of these two techniques. The Seismic Isolation Rack works on the two fold principles of resonance dissipation and seismic vibration isolation, by disrupting and dissipating energy within its frame, and absorption / conversion by the tuneable suspension components. This system gives a two way exchange, isolation from external influences but also attenuation of unwanted resonances from mechanical/electrical feedback generated by the equipment mounted on the shelf. The other advantages over low contact area isolators and/or mass loading techniques are, its abilities to absorb/convert high levels of energy from multiple planes more efficiently, and its higher level of resistance to disruptive external movements.
The Seismic Isolation Rack is designed to excel in environments with higher level background seismic disturbance, but will offer improvements in most situations.
The Seismic Isolation Rack can take equipment up to 500mm wide and 350mm deep, with a height of 180mm on the three lower shelves. Maximum loading of 12kg per lower shelf, and 25kg on the top shelf. There is also the option of a heavy weight lower shelve which can take a loading of 30kg.
The unit is manufactured from high quality polymer, cast Perspex™ sheet. (12/15/20mm)
Rack Weight: 24 kg
Size: 78cm H x 62cm W x 35cm D
